And boko haram violates ceasefire agreement with Nigerian government
The terror group boko haram has just violated the ceasefire agreement that was announced by the federal government on friday 17th october 2014.The federal government said that there has been a major breakthrow as it has entered into agreement witth the sect on release of the abducted Chibok girls in exchange for release of major boko haram detainees.but there was an attack by the terror group in Borno state last saturday.
Boko haram attackled some villages around the hilly area of Dzur killing 18 persons despite the ceasefire aggreenmt.
My view is that there are some other groups terrorising Nigeria and that boko haram is just one of them and these other groups have been operating anonimously.Look at what that has just happened the government announcing an agreement with boko haram and another group struck just 24 hours after the announcement killing 18 persons .
Really there are some other terror groups tormenting Nigeria but the the security forces have failed to identify them and deal with them accordingly. Many of these other groups operate knowing that it will be hard for the Nigerian government to acknowledge their existence and consequently stop their activities.Look boko haram is not the only terror group attacking Nigeria
The controversy over the fate of Abubakar Shekau still ravages the minds of most nigerians .While the Nigerian army says that he is dead another person is claiming to the real shekau from video released by the group not quite long ago.
If you take a concise look at the scenario then probably you will get what am saying .the northen part of Nigeria with many porous entries from nearby Cameroon and Chad has made it somehow difficult to tackle the insurgency.Do we have data on how many persons move into this country daily from these entries?if no then the situation is worse than you may imagine and if yes then how are the security forces able to make use of this data to stop the carnage?
If the government enters into an agreement with the sect then it must be made clear that all affiliates of the group be exposed by the leaders and laydown their arms and completely embrace ceasefire, merely saying that they have agreed to ceasefire can be a hoas and a ploy to betray the government into releasing their detained members. Its most likely there are many affiliates ol this boko haram group yet to be uncovered who operate and cause greate damage to innnocent citizens in the northen part of the country.
